Ken
Lipman, sax, flute and clarinet, has been playing music for 50 years. He started playing jazz when he was in high
school and has been a student off jazz ever since. Ken played full time in his twenties in such venues as big bands,
small ensembles, Latin bands, and for Catskill resorts.

Ken loves world music as well and has a collection of flutes and other indigenous instruments that he
loves to play. He often says that he is blessed that the 10 year old Ken loved music so much that he continued
with his instruments when so many kids stop after a couple of years.

Ken sees music as an infinitely receding horizon. An unending opportunity for learning and enjoying more.
