SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: IN MEMORIUM This year we lost trombonist James E. Stowe on August 2, 2009
and two teachers and mentors whose influence is still felt among the artists of the Consortium, Morris Nanton, who departed
us on November 15, 2009, and Wanda "Maxe Millary" Maximilien, who transformed on December 20, 2009. These were
all extraordinary musicians and teachers who had much to teach us about the beauty and transformative power of music and art
on a society in desperate need of it, and of the unbelievable power of the human spirit. They will be missed. CONGRATULATIONS - To Evan Levine who was accepted into Oberlin Conservatory for the academic year of 2010-2011. AND FINALLY We once again have a weeknight Jam session venue available in Somerset County! We will be initiating weekly Thursday Evening Jam sessions from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, starting Thursday, January 21, 2010 at: Saltwater's Seafood And Southern Cuisine, located at 1991 Route 27, in Somerset, NJ.
