Vincent Troyani
Plays: Saxophone (Alto and Tenor)
Vincent is 18 years old and a freshman at William Patterson University, majoring
in sound engineering arts/music studies, and is first alto sax in Chico Mendoza's Latin Jazz Ensemble. He is a local Highland Park resident that has been
playing the alto sax since the fourth grade. He also plays the tenor and soprano sax and has experimented with guitar and
drum lessons. He is presently studying piano.
His
musical interest took a turn in his junior year in high school when he became greatly influenced by the music of Charlie Parker, Maceo Parker, John Coltrane, and Dexter Gorden, just to name a few. He was accepted into High
Schools the Arts at Middlesex County College and took a Jazz Improv class with organist Radam Swartz. He grouped together with bassist Max Jacobs and drummer Nick Vanarthos to start
the Vincent Troyani Jazz Trio. The group played private weddings and parties but only lasted for the legnth of Vincent's
senior year of highschool.
He is also a featured saxophonist
with an awesome rock/funk/jazz band, Amber Blues and performed with them on numerous occasions at the Stone Pony, in Asbury
park, The Fire, in Philadelphia
and the Old Bay, in New Brunswick.
He is presently in
the process of building Dungeon Studios, which will feature a 16 channel Pro-Tools digital audio workstation, with capability
for any genre of music for recording or audition CD's.
